I NEED HELP!using windows Vista?

i was using my sisters laptop with windows vista OS in it,n inserted d USB even b4 it completely booted…now the thing duznt work…as in,u can only log in to a user name,but then nothing comes after that…no start bar-nothing…i tried re-booting,shutting down,trying different user names etc…bt all that comes is a blank screen…
PLEASE HELP…its not mine…n my sis is mad at me…
o yea…since d laptop was bought recently…it had vista in-built,as in installed already…so i dont have d vista cd…
PLEASSSSSSE HELP!!!!!
nothing comes…ONLY a blank screen with d mouse on it…not evn d wallpaper or d start button…

Accidently deleted files from a USB Mass Storage device.is there anyway to recover them?

I accidently deleted all of my files from one of my classes off of my USB storage device, is there anyway to recover them. I know alot about computers, but not alot about USB Storage devices. I was moving folders around and accidently deleted the wrong folder. It was full of two months worth of work that is going to be terrible to have to re-do. If you have any ideas please let me know! Thanks!

booting dban with flash drive?

ive installed dban onto my usb stick, but im not sure how to use it. i dont have windows as i cant get it set up due to errors, which is why im tryin to use dban since my hdd wont format proparly. do i need windows? ive inserted the flash drive and restarted my computer but nothing seems to happen

its an older Panasonic camcorder and it has a USB input
when i connect the USB into the computer it signals that it detects something but i cant pull it up with any program or in the explorer
im on a windows vista and downloaded the USB drivers for the device

It does have a firewire connection
is there anyway to do it with just the USB without a firewire cable
and what would be the benefits of using a firewire cable

SATA HD using external USB connector adapter not functioning?

I have removed a Seagate 400 GB SATA HD that my Asus MB kept saying was going bad. It seemed to function fine but I removed it, hooked it up with an SATA to USB external adaptor, the computer seems to detect the new hardware as a usb mass storage device but it doesn’t appear in My Computer or in Windows explorer. Adapter instructions say a driver in not required with XP. Any thoughts?

How do I remove a device from the options list on Windows Media Player?

How do I remove a device from the options list on Windows Media Player? Not removing a device from syncing. Whenever I insert my USB now it always asks whether to sync with Windows Media Player because apparently now my USB is listed on the list of devices in the Windows Media Player options. Is there a way to stop this?

Does a computer need to have a bluetooth card in order to use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or does the USB Transceiver that comes with the keyboard and mouse act as a bluetooth card?

I searched Sony’s website, but I couldn’t find where to selectively buy the parts that came with the “parts included with the camera.” eBay didn’t have much. I was wondering if their was an online store that specialized in anything like that.
