Looking for startup disk for HP Photosmart 3310?

We recently received a 5-month old machine from a friend who replaced his own after he had an error message “paper jam”. I found two areas where the paper jam occurred. This did not fix the problem. HP replaced this old machine but my friend misplaced both the startup disk and USB cord. I realize that I can replace the USB cord easily but still need the startup disk and any assistance anyone can provide on what else could be causing the “paper jam” problem. Don’t want to invest too much money on what HP calls a possible hardware problem. Any suggestions on finding a startup disk and an answer to my second problem. Thanks.

  1. Dr. HOUSE Says:

You dont need a disk, the files are free from the manufacturers website! Go to the HP site and click the support or drivers and downloads link. You can get the driver and the software that was bundled with the printer also! As far as the paper jam, it could be due to paper stuck in the roller yet, there should be a cover you can remove on the back of the printer. It may also be missing a spring under the paper tray.

    hi
you can pretty much everything download from the HP homepage. You will find your printer under this link:

They also have trouble shooting for their products.
Paperjam could be the wrong paper or too much pressure still from packaging. Loose the paperleaves a little.
    Good luck
