V Cast driver won’t install?

I put in the V Cast CD for my enV and click “Install LG USB Drivers”. Then it comes up with an error message: “The version of the operating system installed does not support USB modem drivers. Please upgrade you system to Windows 98 SE or higher.” The problem is that I have Vista, so the operating system is definitely recent enough. The driver I need to install is dx9900. I need this driver to be able to transfer music from my computer to my phone.
The driver might have been vx9900 not dx9900.
