is it possible to copy Mac applications into a USB?

I recently got a new mac and I want to know if it is possible to copy an application from one computer into a USB drive and put it into the new Mac computer? I lost the original CD that’s why.

if you have an install file yes. and if it is a .dmg and not a .exe

This should work, just drag the app from the applications folder to the flash drive.

Sometimes applications store files in other places too though. It is worth checking in /username/Library/Application Support to see if there is a folder in there that you need to copy across too.

Why not just try? Worst case scenario it just won’t work, just make sure you don’t delete it off the old Mac!
