PS: i dont want to hook the dell and the macbook up to the same wifi. im getting the airport extreme so i can have my own uninterupteted wifi signal for gaming and school work, the dell is a desktop, and the printer model is a hp photosmart 2610xi

my pc came with win xp media center edition then it caught a virus i did a clean sweep and installed win xp home edition now my usb ports (8) and my slots including my SD slot doesnt detect anything what could be the problem and how to fix it?
in device manager under other devices theres a unknown device with a exclamation point but when i try to update it always fails

*the troubleshoot says ”no drivers installed”, but i can’t seem to find any drivers as such online or anywhere else..it’s a very small usb mouse*

Now there is no such device listed. Yet when I plug the device in to the USB My side bar in Windows pops open and shows the device. It shows no Drive associated with the device.
I can open the device and everything.

If I want I can get windows Media Player to recognize and transfer to device no problems.
Also My printer is pluged in to the Dual 2.0 USB port as I do my mp3 device.
There has never been an issue before. But now when I turn the Printer on It shows up as hard disk storage on my side bar of windows as Drive F.

*** I drag my My Computer icon on the desktop to the far left of the screen to open this bar ***

When I check on the properties of drive F it is associated with My hp printer.
Never had Drive F associated with HP printer before.

Can I tell windows what drive I want my device to be associated with?
How can I get my right click in (my downloads) and send to….. back where I want it so I can download from my downloaded music directly to my mp3 ?
