help with a ps3?

ok i got a ps3 40 gb HDD….whenever i insert a flash memory in the usb slots…it cannot be read…what should i do?
nothing pops out…as if i didnt mount anything..
i did go to the pic and music and video fodler in the XMB but there is nothing…the flash has mixed files of videos and pics and songs and is formatted in NTFS..
ps: THE USB PORT works since i use it to recharge the sixaxis controller
could it be the software version? i updated it 4 months ago it was version 2.4 i think.

How do I copy the game saved data I put on a USB back onto my PS3 ?

I recently formatted my PS3 and before I did, I put all my game saved data onto a USB drive. However, whenever I try to copy it back, the PS3 won’t recognize the USB in the “Game” section. It recognizes it everywhere else and the files within the saved game file are called something like BLUS 08422.

How do I get my ps3 to work with new hard disk upgrade?

I just recently upgrade my ps3 hard disk from 40G to 160G but it says that I need to have system update 2.41 or better. So I got the system update on my USB Flash drive but the ps3 says something like serious error 8002F208F. Can anyone help me

To update the PS3’s software you need the downloaded file in a folder named “PS3″ and “UPDATE”. Then you select “Update via Storage Media” in the PS3 menu.The question is:Can this “Storage Media” be a CD\DVD disk, or is it about USB and Memory Stick devices???

How to open video files from external harddrive on PS3?

Hi,
I have a PS3 and just updated to firmware v. 2.60. I was previously running videos off my external harddrive and usb keys but since the update, when I plug them into my system, they usb storage devices don’t appear in the menu’s like the used to. Is this because of the new firmware? And if so, how do I get them to appear?

I have VOIP(lingo specifically) so i cant change my router to Wireless or any router for that matter, because it only has one frikin ethernet port. so i have to find an alternative to connecting my PS3 to the network. i was thinking of just buying a Wireless Adapter and sticking it into my Computer.

PS3 + Linux CD Problems (ISO)?

Hey. I’m trying to get Linux Ubuntu onto my PS3. I’ve partitioned the HDD of the PS3 and got a USb stick with the “otheros”/kboot file on it. Only problem is, I can’t burn the linux ISO onto a CD. I’ve tried it with CDs and DVDs and with different programs. When I tried it with windows and “InfraRecorder” is says it’s completed the burn but t isn’t actually anything on the disc. When I tried it with a different program, it said illegal burn. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong or if I can do it a different way? Any help appreciated..

Any one know where I can get the PS3 Hub at? I looked everywhere?

To play 2 players on Tine Crisis 4 it says you need to get the PS3 Hub for it. I checked all over even Amazon. I dont see nothing on it. Does any one know a site that sells it or if they know when the Hub is comming out? My PS3 only has 2 USB ports and you need 3 to play Time Crisis 4 with 2 player. I dont think the box would tell me to get the Hub if its not even out yet. Seems some stores would have one in stock for me.
