USB Flash Drive files aren’t working on different computers?

Why wont some files open when I put my USB flash drive into another computer? I put files from my laptop onto the USB flash drive but when it was put into my computer at school the files wouldn’t open.

There are like a 1.000.000 names for that little usb drive thing. Fx: Flash drive, Usb-disk, usb-stick, etc!

Why won’t my usb port adapter work with touchpad?

My dell optiplex has two usb ports in front which is good since that way I don’t have to reach around to the back to insert a usb drive (it’s hard because I have carpal tunnel). My ‘ergonomic’ keyboard has two plugs–one for the keys, the other for the touch pad. I plugged them into a two to one adapter so I would only have to use one of the ports in front, but only the keyboard works; the mouse pad won’t work. So now I have to use both ports just for the keyboard. Now I still have to squeeze behind the computer to get the removable drive in. I finally saved up money for an expensive (for me, anyway) computer and I thought at least I’d get some higher end features. Any ideas? The adapter came without software and said you didn’t need any.

i recently bought a 1gb verbatim usb flash draive to store my work on but it seems it isnt working on my computer. im running windows xp. the packaging says that no software is required for it but it still doesnt work. when you plug it in it brings up the Hardware Update Wizard but then it says that the hardware was not installed becuase it cannot find the necessary hardware. i have tried several times and still it does not work. can anyone help?

i just recently installed parralells on my mac but didn’t like it so i decided to uninstall it but now when i plug in a usb flash drive into the back of the mac it doesn’t show me the flash drive on the desktop but when i pull it out it shows me the device removal window.

I put my camera card into my computer so the pictures are all ready on the computer. Then I plugged in a USB drive into the computer hardware. So what I’m asking is…how do I get the pictures on the card that is in the printer onto the USB drive which is also in my computer??

Write-protected usb flash drive?

Ok, well i have an intergral 2gb usb stick, and its worked perfectly since christmas, but when i plugged it in today it said “This disk is write-protected”. when i tried to delete any files it just tells me that its write protected and i cant. I have no switch on my stick that protects it, and i even checked to see if it was a virus (disk-knight) but when i followed the instructions of removal, none of the files that it tells me to delete are there (So i geussed i have no virus).

I need help please. I can’t use copy and paste system so I need a solution. Maybe there can be a software which can automatically find and copy files directly to my PC.
